Clinical Supervision and Consultation
I am a board-approved clinical supervisor in Oregon and Washington for:
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) Associates
Licensed Professional Counselor Associates (LPCAs)
Marriage and Family Therapy Associates (MFTAs)
With over 15 years of experience in the mental health field, I’ve worked with children, individuals, couples, and families and supervisees across a wide range of settings—including private practice, group mental health practices, community-based nonprofits, county and state programs, including the Oregon Health Authority (OHA), Department of Human Services (DHS), and Aging and People with Disabilities (APD), and integrated medical environments.
In addition to licensure supervision, I provide field supervision for both bachelor’s and master’s level college interns pursuing degrees in social work, counseling, and related fields. I am passionate about creating a supportive, learning-focused environment where students can develop clinical skills, navigate real-world practice challenges, and begin forming their professional identities.
I have served as a Clinical Director in a medical setting. Currently, I am the Founder/Clinical Director at Compassionate Comfort Counseling, LLC, where I provide leadership, program oversight, and mental health therapy to clients. I also serve as the Clinical Supervisor for a Seattle-based nonprofit organization. These leadership roles have deepened my understanding of clinical quality, team development, ethical decision-making, and the nuances of supervision across multiple systems of care.
Supervision Philosophy & Approach
I use an integrated model of supervision that supports both professional growth and clinical excellence:
Developmental Approach
I meet each supervisee where they are—whether new to the field or advancing toward licensure—and tailor my feedback and support to their current stage of development.Person-Centered Supervision
I believe supervisees already possess the potential to become effective, reflective clinicians. I create a collaborative space that fosters safety, self-awareness, and professional identity development.Psychotherapy-Based Framework
I align supervision with the theories and techniques that supervisees use with their clients. This helps bridge practical application with conceptual clarity and ethical practice.
